May 12th Game Recaps

Classics 11 AT Raiders 5
In this highly touted rivalry game only one team seemed to show up. The Classics were able to smack Dylan around for 11 runs led by C.Martin and T.Ray tallying 2 homers a piece. After falling behind 10-0 preseason MVP candidate Matt Haas hit a grandslam for the Raiders but it was too little too late as the Raiders fell to the arch rival Classics in humiliating fashion. Christian Martin tallied up 8 k's.
Raiders 6 AT Sharks 4
The first two innings of this game were a stalemate as after 2 it was 0-0. In the top of the third it looked like the Raiders would be shut out until Dan Hartsook botched two fielding plays and Michael Gibson self destructed on the mound giving up homers to Brandon Buck and Sam McCutcheon. Down 6-0 the Sharks came up just short of a come back as Michael Gibson tallied (2) two run homeruns in the 3rd pulling within 6-4 but before he could get up again for a chance at a walk off the Sharks had run out of outs.
Classics 9 AT Seahawks 7
This was a miracle win for the Classics after falling behind 7-3 heading into the top of the 3rd. Daniel Lawson missed a sky high pop fly hit by Jared Hall and then later on in the inning a blooper took a wicked Classics hop which allowed them to stay alive and lead to a Jared Hall grandslam. Christian Martin chipped in two homeruns and Taylor Ray added one. Christian kept the hitters at bay in the 3rd with an impressive assortment of pitches as he was able to preserve a big time win for the Classics.
Seahawks 6 AT Raiders 0
The Raiders just had a bad day, playing this game without Haas was a recipe for disaster. Shelton turned in a 2 hit shut out tallying 9 k's and added four homeruns to lead the Seahawks to an easy win. Daniel Lawson and Carey Loggins both added solo shots. The Raiders struggled to do much of anything right this game but Dylan did have 7 k's.
Sharks 18 AT Classics 2 (Run Rule 2nd)
The Sharks found their groove and showed just how explosive their offense can be as Michael Gibson launched four homeruns while both Daniel Hartsook and Cameron Cecil added three bombs. It was the worst outing last year's CY Young award winner Christian Martin has had since the opening game of last year's Divisional Round against the Dash. Taylor Ray was able to add to his impressive statistical day hitting a solo homerun. On a side note Cecil threw the bat a country mile on one of his swings and also made one of the sickest plays of the day as he tagged 2nd and was able to double up Christian at 3rd on a bounce peg it was sick.
Sharks 4 AT Seahawks 5
Shelton and Loggins led the way in this one tallying a combined 5 homers which was all the offense the Seahawks needed to beat the Sharks. The Sharks hitters struggled to adjust to Shelton's pitching but Dan Hartsook was still able to have two homeruns and Michael Gibson added in a solo shot.
