Game Recaps May 19th

Seahawks 17 AT Classics 4
In this game the Seahawks let the Classics have it. Once the Seahawks tallied 9 runs in the top of the 2nd you got the feeling it was going to be tough for the Classics to make a comeback but once they added 8 in the top of the 3rd you knew it would take a miracle. The Classics didn't do too bad at the plate with Christian Martin going 3-4 and Taylor Ray and Daniel Lawson chipping in a homer a piece but they just couldn't slow the Seahawks hitting attack. Carey Loggins was 9-11 with 2 homers while Jonathan Shelton continued his MVP pace knocking 4 homeruns off Christian. All in all this game turned out to be a laugher and shows just how good the Seahawks can be when they're firing on all cylinders.
Classics 18 AT Sharks 20
This game had everything you want in what is turning into a bit of a rivalry. Ex-Classic Will Essick got the start on the mound and pitched brilliantly through 2 innings only giving up 2 runs but when the Sharks failed to close the deal and run rule the Classics things got bad in a hurry. Down 10-2 in the top of the 3rd the Classics showed a ton of heart and managed to go back to back to back to back to back jacks on their way to taking the lead 12-10. Michael Gibson entered the game for Essick and could not find the plate walking four and then giving up a grandslam to push the score to 17-10, luckily the brand new Shark Daniel Lawson stepped in and got through the last .2 of the inning only giving up one run. Down 18-10 things were far from over the Sharks just attacked Taylor Ray's pitching. The assault finally came to an end when Daniel Lawson hit a monster walk off grandslam to win the game 20-18 for the Sharks. Will Essick in his first game had four homeruns while Daniel Lawson had his break out game hitting four as well. Michael Gibson in a bit of an off hitting game still managed to add two homers. Jared Hall hit four, Christian hit three, and Taylor two in their losing effort.
