Loss of Hartsook Creates Huge Hole for Sharks

Daniel Hartsook announced today to the dismay of the Sharks and the Water Wiffle Ball world that he would be living in Charlotte for the majority of the summer. This is a huge blow to a Sharks team that has championship aspirations for 2012. While Dan will still be able to play in a few games the Sharks will sorely miss his consistent attendance and batting ability during the regular season. Dan Hartsook is one of the league's premier players and has been around since the league started. He is best known for his clutch walk off homerun in the Sharks-Baileys series which forced a Game 5 and an eventual Sharks' World Series victory. He is also known for blasting an unprecedented amount of homers in the only exhibition night game in Water Wiffle Ball history. Michael Gibson was quoted as saying "Dan is not only one of the best teammates you can ask for but one of the best friends you can ask for, I know he'll be Shark phinning in Charlotte." The Sharks have announced they will be retaining his rights and not sending him down to the minors. Dan Hartsook belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Water Wiffle Ball players and will some day be in the Water Wiffle Ball Hall of Fame. Hopefully Dan will be able to play a good amount this summer and continue building his legacy as one of the greatest to ever set foot on the diving board.
